If you’re a parent, you’ll totally understand this dad’s pain of trying to potty train his son.

Teaching your child to use the potty on their own can be a tiring job for all those involved, but this dad discovered just how worn out his one-year-old was in the most hilarious way. After leaving his potty training seat with the babysitter, this dad thought he could trust his son to practice on the big boy potty. Leaving the boy alone long enough to cook up some eggs, the man discovered his son stuck inside the toilet fast asleep.

It just goes to show that when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go…nap, that is!

A video like this is cute for now, but just wait until this little fella grows up and has to live down the embarrassment of this fiasco with each date he brings home to meet the parents.

Getting pulled over is never fun.

It’s especially awful if you know you haven’t done anything wrong. When one woman was pulled over under suspicion of DUI, she had absolutely no idea why. It was the middle of the day and she was completely sober. Still, she followed the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station officers’ instructions and began performing a sobriety test.

What she didn’t know is that her boyfriend, Deputy Kevin Bowes, was walking up behind her with a surprise…

He definitely pranked her, but watch the video to see if she said “yes” anyway!

All’s well that ends well I suppose. Congratulations to them and cheers to their new life together!

I like to call windows “cat TV” because my kitties get endless entertainment just from looking through them.

It’s fun for cats to watch everything that happens outside, especially when other animals are pretty close by. It’s not very often that wild critters actually get close enough to approach the window itself, though, which is why one feline recently got a seriously awesome show.

Imgur user ctrlaltme started calling their Siberian forest cat, Sochi, a Disney princess after the interesting phenomenon they witnessed. It started with a squirrel coming right up to the other side of the window as if it was looking directly at Sochi.

Then a deer came along as well, making ctrlaltme wonder whether Sochi had some kind of bizarre influence over the creatures outside — though it probably has more to do with the bird feeder hung there.

The squirrel and deer eventually left the yard, but as ctrlaltme explained, Sochi kept to his animal-watching vigil throughout the night.

“The forest creatures have retreated but my cat still stands guard in the dark waiting.”

I’m betting Sochi’s new favorite show hasn’t ended for good, especially if that bird feeder stays in place. It’s only a matter of time until his furry friends come back.

You know how they say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover? Well, one grandmother just learned that this metaphorical phrase applies in the literal sense as well.

While shopping at Barnes & Noble, the woman saw an adorably illustrated book called, “If Animals Could Talk.” Knowing that her six-year-old granddaughter, Emmersyn, would love a book like this, she went ahead and bought it. She realized pretty quickly that she’d made a mistake when the little girl’s mom, Tiffany, called and asked if she’d actually opened it.

Here’s the book in question. Cute, right?

Written for kids, though? Definitely not, as Tiffany realized when she looked through the pages herself.

The book is chock-full of inappropriate language for children…

…and adult humor.

When it became clear that Emmersyn’s grandmother hadn’t seen the content of the book, Tiffany started reading pages to her.

Suffice it to say she was mortified when she heard.

While Grandma made a mistake in buying the book for Emmersyn, it didn’t go to waste.

Tiffany got a ton of laughs out of it, as did the people she shared it with.

Wondering where you can get this delightfully funny book? Here’s where you can buy your own copy, but you might have to wait a while — it’s already out of stock!

It’s no secret that cats usually want nothing more than their doggy frenemies to pipe down and leave them alone.

If only doggos had an off switch, am I right? Life would be a whole lot easier for kitties if that were the case. Usually a little boop from the cat is enough to calm Fido down and put him in his place, but when this cat hit its dog friend on the nose, the total opposite happened.

Fido and Fifi had an unexpected stare down when the pair came across one another on the steps.

But as our doggy pal begins to sniff out his competition, this frisky feline has a trick up her sleeve.

Feeling a bit playful, our kitty girl boops her rival on the head.

But little did she know that with a single boop, she sent her arch nemesis into overdrive.

I’m pretty sure this dog is auditioning fort a walk-on role in the upcoming Flash movie. Look at that doggo go!

An experience most women can relate to is how exasperating it feels to be catcalled.

Women who are just going about their daily business are routinely catcalled. One of the myths is that men only make lewd, rude, or intimidating comments to women who are wearing skimpy clothing, but the reality is that women in all kinds of clothing have to deal with this unfortunate phenomenon.

Many people think that it’s “just a compliment,” but one woman is taking pictures to show just how awful and exhausting it can be.

Student Noa Jansma of the Netherlands took selfies with every man who catcalled her in the month of September.

She wanted to show just how prevalent this behavior is, and she put their words in each caption.

In this one, the man yelled after her, “Hmmmm you wanna kiss?” Um, gross.

One of the most striking things about the photos is how smug and unbothered most of the men look even after being called out for their actions.

You can find her whole, month-long experiment on her Instagram account Dear Catcallers.

Her work inspired others to share their experiences with the hashtag #dearcatcallers, and now that the experiment has come to an end, Jansma plans to pass the account to another woman.

Each month, a new woman somewhere in the world will document her experiences with catcalling, reminding us all how awful it really can be.

It’s awesome to see someone tackling this problem head-on. Here’s hoping we can one day live in a world where everyone can walk down the street in peace.

In the aftermath of the devastating shooting in Las Vegas, we’re now learning just what it was like for the people who went through it.

The brave survivors of the massacre that left 59 people dead and more than 500 injured have been through so much. For those who watched others die, the pain is still very real and their bravery and strength are just now becoming known.

Heather Gooze was working as a bartender during the concert that fateful night. When a man died in her arms, she did something incredible for his family.

When shots rang out in Las Vegas, 23-year-old Jordan McIldoon was among the people seriously injured. Gooze was nearby and ran to McIldoon to help.

“His fingers were kind of wrapped on my hand. His hand kind of squeezed a little bit, and then just, like, went loose,” Gooze said. She then used his phone to call his girlfriend, who was sheltering in place nearby.

“She said, ‘Be honest with me, like, what’s going on?’ And I said ‘He didn’t make it.’ She said to me, ‘You know, he’s the love of my life, like, are you sure?’ I said, ‘Yes.'”

Gooze stayed with his body for more than four hours after promising McIldoon’s family she wouldn’t leave him alone. Learn more about the heroes of this tragedy below.

When we talk about “mama bears,” we generally think about strong protectors.

A mother bear will do anything at all to protect her cubs when possible. Bears are great swimmers, but when one brown bear tried to cross a lake with her cubs, she realized she had overestimated their ability to swim. Rather than stay with her struggling babies, she had to leave them behind to save her strength.

Usually that would be the end of the story. It’s a fact of life that nature is sometimes cruel. Thankfully, some people came along at just the right moment.

Some fishermen on Lake Vygozero in Russia spotted the brown bear cubs struggling and made their way to the spot.

The poor cubs were so weak that they couldn’t get into the boat without help.

Their eyes were pleading as they were finally helped into the boat. The fishermen were cautious, but the cubs were too exhausted to hurt anyone.

They dropped the cubs off on the island where their mother swam, hoping that she would come back for them. Watch the whole rescue below!

What an incredible story. It’s important to respect nature and keep our distance, but sometimes man and beast can work together to save lives.

There is never an excuse for violence against a child.

This is pretty much a universally agreed upon standard that we hold ourselves to. But what would you do if you saw evidence of abuse on one of your social media timelines?

Let’s say someone posts a photo of their hand beaten up and possibly broken. When someone asks what happened, the person nonchalantly responds that they punched their 12-year-old. Well, that’s exactly what happened to friends of Jen Cazares on Instagram.

Jen originally posted the photo with just the caption, “When you let your anger get the best of you.”

When someone asked if she “punched a house down,” she responded, “no just my 12 year old. Lol.” She then says she “need[s] to be more constructive” and that the boy “challenged” her.

For the most part, people seemed unconcerned. One person said, “Learn how to punch but not on the boy.”

Another said, “Dang girl! Breathe!”

While her Instagram and Facebook profiles are private, concerned people everywhere were able to contact police in Oceanside, California, where it appears she lives. Here’s hoping that if her injury actually resulted from child abuse that she is swiftly punished. There’s just no excuse for this.
